This is a trash transfer container dropping green waste at Hilo green waste site, this is an illegal act by the county of Hawaii, reason is that green waste is used for mulching for home/garden use transfer containers are not cleaned after used by the county from home trash.
Filed under: Information you can use.
Big Island Eko spotters will be stricter on illegal dumping, plate numbers of violators will be sent to county officals and violators will be banned from using green waste drop offs. If you accedently drop off a bag of trash they will find out who that bag belongs too and contact you giving you a chance to dispose of it properly.
Remember trash does not belong in the green waste pile!

Why can’t we except lumber it untreated: the site personel heard this plenty times. This is simply explained, if you bought it from the store or came off you house treated/untreated we will not take it. Lumber is lumber we don’t take it.
Business service of Hawaii dropped off this load before any site personel arrived for work. This type of load we don’t accept due to the large amount of lumber and trash bags.
